IRENE PRADELL INTERVIEW

Were you interested in the fashion world when you were little?
Yes, I was, I liked the fashion world and I have always been interested in being part of it since I was little, both personally and professionally .

What are your studies? 
Related to this subject , I have a degree on hairdressing and I also studied at the school of professional makeup "Makeup Stick Art Studio" , which includes makeup in television , films , special effects , fantasy .. The truth is that I feel very fortunate to have studied there. I am very proud of it.

Have you ever makeup famous or important people?
Yes, I have participated in filming movies and I have maked up  known and important people.

Which is the most surprising or unusual makeup you've done?
I will say that the body make up is the closest to this definition. You will rarely see someone maked up from top to bottom completely naked . Although body make up is very attractive, it is unusual to see unless we are in an event directly related to it or in the form of advertising to catch attention. In addition, it is also unusual because it may take about 5 hours or so to do it , and if you are a perfectionist you'll never finish it. I would add that one of the works that left a mark on me was the day when we made up the three wise men and we went with them to the hospital to visit the children and burned adults. The experience of helping those people who were suffering in the hospital was really special for me and something I'll never forget.

What are your expectations for the future? 
Of course, to devote myself to the make up world at 100% and I hope for good. It's my hobby , it's what fulfils me, what makes me happy and even my medicine.

I know that you participated in a videoclip recording, can you explain it to us?
Sure. As a makeup artist, I have participated in various recordings, but I guess you mean the video that came out recently where I appear.
It was a question of a favor to a good friend . He called me and I went there. I must say it was a good experience.

As for advertising ...

Have you ever participated in any commercial event?
I have participated in fairs and also something of advertising. But as a model , not as a makeup artist .

Do you think the image has a strong influence on advertising?
Yes , of course , the image is very important in the advertising world and in the real world too. The image is what sells us as people and what makes a product in a matter of advertising. Image catches our attention.

Many people think that advertising is deceptive and manipulative. Do you agree in that?
There is everything. In one hand, there is of course misleading , but not always. As for the image, it is clear that almost everywhere there are tweaks and image is not always true.

LBD (Little Black Dress)

Today I'm going to explain another trend: LBD, Little Black Dress.

This type of dress is typical and you can wear it during all the year, but it is important to know your body shape to find out what kind of dress you have to wear:

(In this article I'm not going to explain the different types of body shape, but if you want I can explain it in another article). 

Here, in Vic, we can find some different LBD's in our shops. So, Let's Go!!

BERSHKA

These dresses are from Bershka and in my opinion are very original to wear in some special events like New Year, Christmas... You will find them beautiful and elegant.

STRADIVARIUS

Here we have two LBDs from Stradivarius and in this occasion I think that these dresses are a little bit more informal than Bershka dresses. The first one is more wide, but it is beautiful too. 

PULL&BEAR

 

Of course, we couldn't miss clothes from Pull&Bear store. In this case the first one, in my opinion is more informal and we can wear it during the week. The second one is a little bit more bold and it's fantastic for parties and Saturday night. 

Finally I would say that this is an essential piece of clothing in the girl's wardrobe. It can be used in different occasions and I think that combining it with some accessories (shoes, bags, jewelry and even hair) we will be able to use it many times.

Alba Somada Interview

Hi today I'm going to interview Alba Somada. She is a profesional photografer and is going to answer some questions.

Were you interested in the photography world when you were little?

I'm interested in photography since I was child by the influence of my father. He has always been a fanatic in this area.

What are your studies? 

By the time I have completed an advanced vocational training of artistic photography, but I would like to do some fashion photography courses and photo retouching.

Have you ever photographed important or famous people? 

I have not had the opportunity to photograph a celebrity.

Of all the photographic work you have done, which is the best for you?I've done some work I'm very proud of, but the first one was a work for the school in which we had to choose a photographer that we loved and we had to imitate his way of photography: lighting, poses, editing, etc.. It was a hard work but the final result was very satisfactory.

What are your expectations for the future? 

Nowadays it is difficult to find work in general, and in the art world is  even more complicated, but I would love to dedicate myself to photography fashion advertising.

AS FOR ADVERTISING...

• Have you ever participated ina any commercial event?
• I have never participated in any commercial event.

• How do you see the Internet? And the Internet advertising?
• I think it is a good resource to learn different things, because right now the Internet is used by lots of people today.

• Do you think the image has a strong influence on advertising?
• Yes, It has a vital importance.

• Many people think that advertising is deceptive and manipulative. Do you agree in that?
• One part is manipulated to capture the attention of the public to sell products.

PATCHWORK

Hi bloggers, today I'm going to explain another trend! This one is named PATCHWORK and it consists in some difererents pieces of cloth forming the same garment. 

These type of clothes have been very popular in the famous brand Desigual during the last years. So I'm going to show you some photos of Desiguals' Patchwork!

We haven't got any Desigual shop in Vic, but we can search their catalog in the net and buy their garments on-line:  http://www.desigual.com

Now this trend has been expanded and we can find it in other shops. 
Let's go to look for some patchwork garments in our city shops:

PULL&BEAR

 

Searching in this shop we found some beautifull, elegant patchwork dresses! You can wear them in some informal events and you will feel very original. 

STRADIVARIUS 

In Stradivarius we have find diferents garments combining leather with velvet or wool!!

In Bershka we can find some shirts with different shades of blue!!



MANGO

These jeans are from Mango's store and they are so bold!! 









JACK&JONES

Finally, we can find some men patchwork clothes in Jack&Jones store.

Red, White & Black

Today I will start talking about the first trend: Red, White & Black clothing.

Normally, we usually combine black and white clothes because it's easy and with them we transmit elegance and formality. 

Now, is fashion time and this year we are going to see some different styles combining these two colors with red! 

It's very original and this third color adds a point of security that can be positive when we need to transmit it. We can use this trend in different occasions, from informal events to a job interview or something similar in which we have to convey a good image. 

Now I'm going to show you some different sets of clothes that I have found in our city shops:

1) These sets of clothes are from Pull&Bear. 

In these images we can see this new trend. We can combine red, white and black whit the different garments: dresses, leggings, jackets, sweaters... 

2) Here we can see some clothes from Stradivarius.

In the first image these three colors are combined to transmit elegancy and we can use them to go out at night. 

In the second one they are combined to transmit informality and we can use them to go to school or to informal events.  

3) Another shop where we can find this trend is Bershka. 

In this photo we can see a set of clothes formed with striped black and white pants, a basic black T-shirt and a red blazer. 

Then we can play with complements, in this case they are black, but in other occasions, if our clothes are only black and white, we can use red complements to complete the new trend. 

4) On the other hand, we can find some men clothes in Jack&Jones. 

In this case we can see that they combine a striped black and white T-shirt with red pants. The clock is also white. 

Finally, in my opinion these colors are very popular in our wardrobes. So I'm sure that if you look for some red, black and white garments you would be able to combine them and form different sets. LOOK AT ME!!

Sara Martinez Interview

 Hi today I'm going to interview Sara Martinez Borralleras. She is a professional image consulting and the creator of Happy Look.

• Were you interested in the fashion world when you were little?  
• Yes, I remember that when I went to school, every afternoon I would take my dog for a walk and I went into a clothes shop next to my house with the dog in tow. The shop assistant didn't stop  looking at me and then when I got home I told my mother what I had seen and what I wanted to buy.
• I also remember that when I was studying at primary school every time we went on an excursion I couldn't wear the same clothes that I wore on normal class days, so I had to buy new clothes for these special days.  
• And finally, when I was little, I liked playing to be a designer. So I forced my sister to be the model and my parents to be the spectators and I created some differents dresses with my bed's sheets and clamps clothespins. 
• Which is your favourite piece of clothing? 
• I think that it's important to have some different types of clothes. Every piece of clothing is important in its time. But for example, in my wardrobe there are some things which are a must to me, such as jeans, a blazer, a dress that I could combine in different occasions, and of course, a pair of HEEL SHOES!
• What is the use of an image consultant? 
• An image consultant is not a superficial work as people think, however, it helps people to look at themselves in the mirror without complexes, helping them to see their full potential, to be accepted and to have much security. That's because we are in a society where the external image is taken into account at all times.
• How did you create Happy Look? 
•  I had the idea when we had to make the final administration project. We had to create a business and I thought it was interesting to take this work forward to make something that I could carry out. Once I got the qualification I went to talk with the director of Carol Bruguera and I proposed him my idea. I was convinced that I wanted to work with them as an image consultant from the beginning. He liked the idea and together we created this little business called Happy Look. 
• I know that when you make an image consultancy you have to know the effect you want to transmit  to others. In your case what do you want to transmit?
• It depens on the moment, but the most important for me is to transmit SAFETY! I like the aggressiveness, especially in my personal life, but at work time I combine it with professionalism.
• What do you explain in Tupper Looks? How often do you do it? 
• The objective of Tupper Looks is to release Happy Look because image consulting is not something very popular. In my Tupper Looks I explain the new trends and everything related with the image: clothes, make up, nail art, sun glasses, hairstyles, protocol... My objective is that people can understand  that the image is very important and that they can take profit of it with my help.

• Finally, can you summarize us the new trends and give us a little advice for this winter? 
• Of course, this winter we have to buy a piece of clothing with the british printed, a bomber deluxe, something with fur and very tall boots! All these trends are going to invade our shops and wardrobes.
