Do you need anthropometry?

Hi fashion victims, today I'm going to coment the results about one question from my infographic: WHAT DO YOU WEAR WHEN YOU GO TO THE DISCO OR YOU GO OUT AT NIGHT? I have to say that I was really surprised by the response to the survey. As we can see, the most popular answer was "Pants or Shorts", and the less popular answer was "Skirts". 

Some years ago, going out at night meant grooming, dressing well, putting on clothes that you wouldn't wear a normal and informal day... Nowadays girls prefer to go out dressing pants, shorts and comfortable clothes. 

In my opinion, I think that we can find different preferences. I know girls that prefer wearing comfortable clothes to go out, but on the other hand I know a lot of girls that prefer putting on clothes that they can't wear during the day: tight dresses, tube skirts, high heeled shoes...

Everyone should wear clothes in which they feel more comfortable, but if you want to know what kind of clothes are better for you and with which you'll be more favored, your word is anthropometry, which is the study of the different body shapes. Anthropometry help us to diagnose and advise which kind of clothing each person needs. To analyze this we will consider the source image, lines, shapes, volumes and colors.
Depending on each person's body shape, it will be better a clothing style or another one.


Are you obsessed about fashion?

Today fashion is a very important part of our life. From birth we are conditioned by the fashion and by the publicity that we receive about the new trends and the new fashions. 

From the morning when we wake up, we begin to receive advertising messages through radio, newspaper, Internet or television. If we go out, everything is full of posters, at the bus stop, at the different shopping windows... we can not avoid them. Can you actually count the amount of advertising messages that we receive every day?
Our life is very influenced by advertising, which affects us in many of our daily activities: we wear the most fashionable brands, we see the highest grossing film of the year and we buy some objects, which are useless  but give us reputation just because they are announced on television.

The truth is that people get easily carried away  by advertisements, by the latest fashion trends... and we can not avoid buying that object announced on television whitout knowing its use. Rarely do we consider the usefulness of the item or its price, the matter is to buy it because it will make our lives easier, or because it will match the color of the walls.
Advertising knows how to get to our subconscious and make us believe that we have to buy and spend.

Here we can see the results of my survey, 21 interviewed said that fashion is important in their life, 9 interviewed said that fashion is not important in their life.
In my opinion, following the latests trends and being aware about the new fashions could be funny as a hobby. But on the other hand I think that it can become a concern that can be avoided. Everyone has to be unique, everyone has to have their own style and nobody has to be compared with others. 

Finally I want to say that the code image is what everyone transmits to others. To achieve our goals we must know what we want to convey, know what we transmit and detect the differences between both.

So my phrase of the day is: Follow fashion but do not turn it into an obsession, be yourself.

COLORS IN FASHION

Another factor that is very important in fashion is the meaning of colors. These can be warm or cold: 
• Warm colors convey sweetness, naturalty and transmit proximity.
• Cold colors show aggressiveness, toughness and safety.
• Black and white are neutral colors.

In this case we can clearly see it in perfume advertisements:


This first image is an advertisement about the brand Dior perfume. We see clearly that the major part of the add is blue, a cold color. This blue, helped with the expression of the model and all other components show aggressiveness, toughness, safety ...




On the other hand, the second image is the announcement of Shakira's perfume. In this add we see that the predominant color is gold, a warm color. In this case this advertisement shows sweetnees and naturality.




Here you can read the individual meaning of each color:

Red: Red is the color of passion, strength and action. It stimulates action, love, and power creative force and we associate it with power, energy, vitality... Negatively , it symbolizes the hatred and cruelty.


Orange: Orange is the color of wisdom, sociability and communication. As positive effects can be said that stimulates conversation and sense of humor. Negatively , its excessive use can unbalance the nervous system. You need green and blue to balance the color.


Yellow: Yellow is a cheerful color associated with intuition. Represents spiritual perfection, peace and rest. It is the color of youth and joy. As a positive effect promotes compassion and creativity awakens enthusiasm for life, confidence and optimism. Negatively an excessive use can cause irritation and can also symbolize cowardice.


Blue: Blue is the symbol of truth, consciousness, harmony, tranquility, hope, order, nobility and generosity. It can also mean desire for peace and solitude. As a positive effect , it calms your nerves and it is a refreshing color. Negatively , an excess use causes depression and feeling sadness.


Green: Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes new life, regeneration, joy, happiness, excitement and hope. As a positive effect helps to balance our energies, produces sedative effects, tonics and fresh. Negatively, it can symbolize selfishness, envy and sloth. Dark green can depress and weaken.


White: White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity and virginity. It is considered the color of perfection, peace, calm and harmony. It means security, purity, simplicity and cleanliness.


Black: Black is the opposite of light. It is the color of silence, mystery, sadness, separation, night, and death anxiety. When it shines also means nobility and elegance.


Gray: Gray symbolizes indecisiveness, lack of energy, doubt and melancholy. The metallic gray feels cold, brightness, elegance and luxury.


Pink: Is the result of mixing red with white. It's a romatic color that express love, friendship and all the feminine qualities . It is a color that brings warmth, tenderness, understanding and compassion.
As you can see colors are very important dependig what you want to transmit. For this reason, image consultants make the color test and say to everyone if they need warm or cold colors!
